On Thursday, November 14th, 2002, HOMEY hosted a press conference called by Choices for Youth, a research group releasing it�s California Scorecard on Youth Safety and Resources. We were joined by representatives from Coleman Advocates for Youth and Their Families, the San Francisco School Board and School District, SFPD, and the departments of Probation and Public Health. The conference was covered by many local TV stations, radio stations and publications. In response to the findings that rated San Francisco high in youth assault, Julia Sabori, HOMEY Executive Director, advocated for more relevant programs that target high risk youth.
