| Pia Guerrero received a BA in video and film from UC San Diego. She has
worked with low-income communities of color focusing on media education and
youth development programs for the past eight years. As program director
for Our Schools, Our Media and for the Just Think Foundation Pia has
designed, developed and delivered media literacy programs around the
country, directly teaching over 350 teachers, youth workers, and young
people. She is also an editor for adiosbarbie.com, and is developing
multicultural media literacy curriculum around body image, identity, and
self-esteem. In addition to her youth development experience, she has overseen and participated in the development of several community-based collaboratives and coalitions.
She serves as an advisor for HOMEY supporting them in their organizational development.
