Homies Skoolin Homies

The main purpose of Homies Skoolin Homies is to teach young individuals who lack resources to become more conscious about issues we raise, which in essence allows them to produce higher self-esteem. Applying discussion-based workshops that teach Latino/a youth their history, culture, and political issues affecting them does this. HOMEY runs these in-class support groups at schools (John O' Connel High School, Mission High School & Downtown High School in San Francisco) that have a high number of at-risk youth who lack support or resources.
